        ============================================

                1) Resolved an issue on the ProLiant BL45p in which not all fans 
	        and temperature sensors are monitored when using Windows 2003 
	        x64 Edition. When using the System Management Drivers with 
	        Windows 2003 x64 Edition on the BL45p, the system would not 
	        monitor for fan failures for Fans 5 - 8. Also, the server 
	        would not perform a graceful OS shutdown for temperature 
	        violations for the temperature sensors on the portion of the 
	        chassis containing Processors 3 and 4.  In addition, the 
	        Insight Management Agents and HP System Insight Manager would 
	        not display status for Fans 5 - 8 or Temperature Sensors 8 - 14 
	        (temperature sensors for the portion of the chassis with 
	        Processors 3 and 4).  Despite this issue, the system would 
	        automatically vary fan speeds based on temperature and 
	        automatically set all fans to highspeed on fan failures for
	        Fans 5 - 8. The system would also automatically shutdown for 
	        critical temperature violations on the portion of the chassis 
	        containing Processors 3 and 4. 



HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP30736.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP30736 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP30736.EXE if you wish.
