This package contains the HP Smart Card Security for ProtectTools for the

The HP Smart Card Security for ProtectTools is a security layer, based on smart 
card technology, that protects access to your computer and your data. This 
package provides Smart Card access that is shared with HP ProtectTools Security 
Manager 2.0 and the Credential Manager for ProtectTools.

PREREQUISITES: 
- HP ProtectTools Security Manager must be installed on the desktop prior to 
installing this SoftPaq.

NOTE: Before installing the HP Smart Card Security for ProtectTools, this 
package checks to ensure that the appropriate version of HP ProtectTools 
Security Manager is installed on the desktop. If the appropriate version of HP 
ProtectTools Security Manager is not installed on the desktop, this package 
installs the appropriate version of the HP ProtectTools Security Manager prior 
to installing the HP Smart Card Security for ProtectTools.

- HP Embedded Security 3.01 (or later), which can be found in SoftPaq Number 
SP27872 (or later), must be installed before installing this SoftPaq when using 
systems supporting embedded security in order to avoid known power management 
issues with the S3 power state.

HOW TO USE: 
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
