DESCRIPTION:  This Softpaq creates a Version 2.40 OS2APIC driver update diskette 
to update the Compaq OS2APIC driver on the OS/2 Support Software Diskette for Compaq 
Version 2.14 Rev A (SP3076).  For details on enhancements to the driver and 
installation, refer to the README.1ST file on the generated diskette.

This version of the OS2APIC.PSD driver for OS/2 has been updated to fix a system 
lockup during startup on the ProLiant 7000 server in a four-processor configuration.

HOW TO USE:             

1. Download the Softpaq to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that 
directory. The file that is downloaded is SP3079.EXE.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq file:  SP3079[ENTER]
The following files should be created:
   QRST5.EXE
   os2apic._01
   SP3079.DOC

3. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

4. To create a diskette, run QRST5 and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP3079.EXE 
and the other files created on your hard drive if you wish.

6. Refer to README.1ST on the diskette for installation instructions and additional 
information.
