TITLE: HP Compaq Business Desktop System BIOS (786C2 BIOS)

DESCRIPTION:
This package contains utilities that can be used to restore or update the 
system BIOS on the listed desktop models with a 786C2 BIOS.

Several methods for changing the BIOS version may be chosen. Included in this 
package are the following methods:
- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore diskette.
- Use HPQFlash to upgrade the BIOS directly in a Microsoft Windows 
environment.
- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore CD.

This package can be used with SSM, HPCMS, or PXE management software for remote 
updating of the BIOS.

NOTE: To determine the BIOS family and BIOS date, press F10 on the target 
computer during system Power On to run the Setup Utility, and then select 
File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file on a 
diskette or on a USB flash media device by selecting File/Save to Diskette. In 
order for a USB flash media device to be recognized by the system, the device 
must be attached before the computer is Powered On.

NOTE: For HP Compaq Business Desktop dc5100 Minitower and HP Compaq Business 
Desktop dc5100 Small Form Factor models, this SoftPaq, BIOS Version 1.06, is a 
web and factory release for Intel 600 Series Processors.

For HP Compaq Business Desktop dx6120/6128 Microtower and HP Compaq Business 
Desktop dx6120 Small Form Factor models, BIOS Version 1.06 is a new factory 
release that will be shipped on new models, replacing BIOS version 1.02 in the 
factory.
