The issue occurs when reading and writing in U320 packetized mode and is corrected by adding an additional register check in that mode. - Fixes an issue where odd SCSI IDs jumpered at the connector on the same end of the drive as the power connector were not recognized. Only even IDs (0, 2, 4, ...) work correctly (before installing this upgrade) if they are controlled using that connector. HP ships drives with the SCSI ID configured using jumpers on the connector at the opposite end of the drive. This configuration works correctly even before the upgrade. This ID-jumper issue is platform-independent. - Fixes an intermittent issue on HP Workstation xw6000 computers where the workstation stops responding (locks up) when starting the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System. PREREQUISITES: N/A HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
