DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of HP
               DL585 G1 Servers.

        ProLiant DL585 G1 ROM A01 (01/27/2005)
        ============================================

                Added support for PC3200 memory utilizing new PC3200-only
                Memory Boards with 4 DIMM sockets.

                Added support for Virtual Serial Port feature which allows 
                redirecting the serial console through HP's iLO
                management processor. This feature is configured
                through ROM-Based Setup by configuring the Virtual
                Serial port like any other serial port in the system.

                Added support for booting USB Drive Keys.


Problems Fixed -


        ProLiant DL585 G1 ROM A01 (01/27/2005)
        ============================================

                Resolved an issue where a system would not automatically
                attempt to perform a PXE boot when no other bootable
                devices were installed.  Previously, the user had to 
                press F12 to force an attempt to boot PXE in this case.  




HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP29775.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP29775 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP29775.EXE if you wish.
