A DESCRIPTION: This package contains utilities that can be used to restore or update the system BIOS on the listed thin client models (786R1 BIOS). This package includes several methods for performing the BIOS update. Choose the method that works best for you. Each folder provided has self-contained files to perform the BIOS update. Any unwanted folders may be deleted. Tools and appropriate BIOS images are contained in each of the directories, as follows: -- DOS Flash - DOS utility that can be used locally or with a Preboot eXecution Environment (PXE) management application to update or restore the system BIOS. -- WFlash - Windows-based utility to locally update the system BIOS on individual computers operating in a Microsoft Windows environment. -- CEFlash - Windows CE.net-based utility to locally update the system BIOS on individual computers operating in a Microsoft Windows CE.net environment. -- LFlash - Linux-based utility to locally update the system BIOS on individual computers operating in a Linux environment. -- Flash Diskette - Utility that creates a bootable 1.44-MB diskette that can be used to locally restore or update the system BIOS. NOTE: To determine the BIOS family and BIOS date, press F10 on the target computer during system startup to run the Setup Utility, and then select System Information. This BIOS version enables the use a PS/2 dongle/splitter in order to attach a PS/2 keyboard and mouse to the HP Compaq Thin Client t5710 (800-MHz) model. Please use the HP approved PS/2 keyboard, mouse, and dongle options.
