DESCRIPTION:
This package contains utilities that can be used to restore or update the 
system BIOS on the HP workstation xw6000 models with a 686O4 BIOS.

This package includes multiple methods for changing the BIOS version on your 
workstation. Each folder provided has self-contained files to perform the BIOS 
update. Any unwanted folders may be deleted.

More information on the specific update tools is available in the "How to Use" 
text file, as well as in the README files in each folder.

This package provides the following methods of updating the system BIOS:
- DOS Flash
- HPQFlash
- ROMPaq CD
- ROMPaq Diskette
- System Software Manager (SSM) 
- HP Client Manager Software

NOTE: To determine the BIOS family and BIOS date, press F10 on the target 
workstation during system startup to run the Setup Utility, and then select 
File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file on a 
diskette or on a USB flash media device by selecting File/Save to Diskette. In 
order for a USB flash media device to be recognized by the system, the device 
must be attached before the workstation is Powered On.

HOW TO USE: 
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack 
the files to folders within the download directory.

3. Select the flash utility you want to use and follow the instructions 
provided in the README file in the appropriate folder.
