TITLE: HP Compaq Business Desktop System BIOS (786A5 BIOS)

DESCRIPTION:
This package contains utilities that can be used to restore or update the 
system BIOS on the listed desktop models with a 786A5 BIOS.

Several methods for changing the BIOS version may be chosen. Included in this 
package are the following methods:
- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore diskette.
- Use HPQFlash to upgrade the BIOS directly in a Microsoft Windows 
environment.
- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore CD.

This package can be used with SSM, HPCMS, or PXE management software for remote 
updating of the BIOS.

NOTE: To determine the BIOS family and BIOS date, press F10 on the target 
computer during system Power On to run the Setup Utility. Then select 
File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file on a 
diskette or on a USB flash media device by selecting File/Save to Diskette. In 
order for a USB flash media device to be recognized by the system, the device 
must be attached before the computer is Powered On.

ENHANCEMENTS: 
- Enables integrated video and the video frame buffer, if an AGP card is not 
present, before restoring PCI devices when resuming from Standby mode. This 
corrects potential issues when resuming from Standby mode.

1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
