DESCRIPTION:
This package creates files that contain a binary image for the System BIOS 
(ROM) for the listed notebook models with 68BAS Family ROM. This package is 
used to flash the System ROM on target notebooks in a network, and it requires 
System Software Manager (SSM). 

NOTE: To determine the ROM family and ROM date, press F10 on the target 
notebook during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view
File/System Information.

IMPORTANT: Users running the Microsoft Windows 98 Operating System must use 
SSM verion 1.62A for remote flashing. Please do NOT use the new SSM version 
1.70A if you are running Windows 98.

HOW TO USE:

NOTE: The System BIOS image must be used with SSM in order to actually
flash the System BIOS on a target notebook in a network.
 
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a temporary, empty directory on your
   hard drive.

2. Copy the SoftPaq to the file store.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
