CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS RELEASE: Added support for Solaris (x86) 10. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the Softpaq file SP29063.EXE to an empty directory on a Microsoft Windows system. 2. From that directory, execute the Softpaq file: SP29063 [ENTER] Follow the on-screen instructions to extract the files. 3. Obtain 1 formatted 1.44-MB diskette. 4. Insert the diskette in the floppy drive and follow the onscreen instructions to create the DU. 5. The Driver Update Diskette (DU) has the following Reference Files : The README.TXT and ureadme files on Driver Update diskette (DU) contains the same information that describes the procedure to load the Driver Update diskette (DU). README.TXT - This file can be best viewed under a non-unix Operating System. ureadme - This file can be best viewed under the Solaris Operating System. Use the following commands to view the ureadme file on Solaris Operating System. Check to see if Volume Management is running # ps -ef | grep vold If Volume Management is running stop it. If not, skip this step. # /etc/init.d/volmgt stop Insert the Driver Update diskette (DU) into the diskette drive. Mount the Driver Update diskette (DU) at the /mnt mount point: # mount -F pcfs /dev/diskette /mnt Move to the mount point '/mnt'. # cd /mnt Use the vi command to open the ureadme file. # vi ureadme Note: When using the contents of this Softpaq during the installation of Solaris (x86) 10, the installation may hang at the end of Solaris (x86) 10 software CD1. To work around this issue, when prompted by the Solaris (x86) 10 installer to select the type of installation, select option 4 (4. Solaris Interactive Text (Console Session)), as shown below. Select the type of installation you want to perform: 1. Solaris Interactive 2. Custom JumpStart 3. Solaris Interactive Text (Desktop Session) 4.
