DESCRIPTION:  This Softpaq provides an updated version of the Fibre Channel Information Agent for
the HP Insight Storage Agents version 7.10 for Microsoft Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003.

The original version of the Fibre agent will potentially leak 240 bytes per MSA logical drive per poll
cycle. A minimal system with 1 logical drive and the default poll time of 2 minutes would leak about 1 MB
of memory a week.  A maximum configuration with 256 logical drives and a 5 second poll time would leak about
1 GB per day.  The problem only applies to MSA1000 and MSA1500 logical drives.  Hp proliant servers
configured with Hp RA4x00, MSA500 and MSA500 G2 Storage Systems are OK.

Enhancements/Fixes: The updated version of the Fibre agent provided with this softpaq supercedes the Fibre
Agent included with the Hp Insight Storage Agents version 7.10.   It fixes a potential memory leak caused by
original version of Fibre Channel Information Agent included with the Hp Insight Storage Agents version 7.10.

The Fibre agent fix has also been incorporated into the HP Insight Management Agents available with the
Smart Start 7.20 release.


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is SP28998.EXE.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Enter "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files into the download directory. 

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file 
downloaded in step 1.

4. For installation instructions, refer to the README.TXT in the download directory.  

5. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files unpacked in step 2.
