DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of HP
               ProLiant DL145 Servers.

                Updated ROM to make USB removable storage device the
		1st boot device if detected.

		Updated ROM to set the baud rate for the management
		processor to the same baud rate as the BIOS Serial Console.

		Updated ROM to properly detect USB floppy diskette change.

		Updated ROM to include AMD Errata 86 update for DRAM Data
		Masking feature addressing EEC failures.

		Updated ROM to include AMD Errata 89 update for Potential
		Dead Lock with Locked Transactions.

		Updated ROM to include AMD Errata 109 update addressing
		issues with certain Reverse Rep MOVS.  Also includes CPU
		microcode patches for "C0", "CG" and "D0" CPU revisions.

		Updated BIOS setup menu items as follows:

			- Channel 2 is now the default for IPMI PEF channel.

			- Removed the "Chipset Menu".

			- "Memory Configuration" is now under the "Advanced" panel.

			- "Configuration" is now under the "Advanced" panel.

			- The IOMMU menu has been removed.

			- The "Boot Device Priority" submenu has been removed.

			- Now display list of boot devices in priority on the
			  "Boot" panel.

			- "Management Processor Firmware Revision ID"
			  is now displayed earlier in POST as:  
                          "Management Processor working OK, Mgmt FW Rev 1.90".

		Updated ROM to make full 4GB+ Memory and ECC initialization
		operational in "QuickBoot Enabled" mode.

		Updated ROM to correct issue where NIC option ROMs were
		prevented from running when the Onboard NIC PXE Option ROM
		was disabled.





HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP28540.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP28540 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP28540.EXE if you wish.
