DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of HP ProLiant
               ML370 G4 Servers.


New Features -


        ProLiant ML370 G4 ROM P50 (08/26/2004)
        ============================================

                Added support for RBSU option to allow configuring the
		system for reduced processor power mode.  This feature
		will reduce the core voltage and frequency of the
		processors when enabled. This may be useful for customers
		whose environment has constrained power availability.
		
		Added support to allow the system to reclaim memory lost
		to the PCI hole when the system is configured with more
		than 4GB of memory. For these configurations,
		more memory is made available to the operating system.

		Added the latest option ROM for the embedded LSI SCSI
		controller.

		Added support for new revisions of Intel chipsets.


Problems Fixed -


        ProLiant ML370 G4 ROM P50 (08/26/2004)
        ============================================

                Updated System ROM with the latest support code for Intel 
		Xeon Processors with 800 MHz System Bus. This works
		around an issue with the Intel Xeon processor that could 
		result in unexpected system behavior or a system hang.
	
		Updated System ROM to improve performance of serial 
		console through iLO virtual serial port.

		Updated System ROM to support System Maintenance Menu
		in Command Line Interface mode with the serial console
		session baud rate higher than 9600. 
		
		Updated System ROM to improve support for USB devices
		in a pre-boot environment.

		Updated System ROM to fix support for ECP Mode for the
		embedded parallel port.



HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP28530.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP28530 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP28530.EXE if you wish.
