HOW TO USE:
1. Use of the Device Manager is required to install this Softpaq. After you
click "Finish" to exit the Softpaq InstallShield Wizard, the files you'll need
will be in the \SWSETUP\SP28504 folder on your hard drive, such as
C:\SWSETUP\SP28504.

2. Because the network driver hasn't been installed, the "Welcome to the
Hardware Update Wizard" will typically already be displayed. If it isn't
displayed, do the following steps to cause it to be displayed:

  A. Go to Start and select:

           Control Panel -> Administrative Tools
-> Computer Management -> Device Manager

  B. The network hardware will normally be listed as "Ethernet Controller"
under "Other devices" in the Device Manager list. Double-click on "Ethernet
Controller" and click on the "Driver" tab.

  C. From the Driver tab, click on "Update Driver..." which will bring up the
"Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard".

3. Once the "Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard" is displayed, select "No,
not this time" on the first screen and click "Next".

4. On the next screen, select "Install from a list or specific location
(Advanced)" and click "Next".

5. On the next screen, select "Search for the best driver in these locations"
and also select "Include this location in the search". Then click "Browse" and
browse to the folder C:\SWSETUP\SP28504, or equivalent.

6. The Device Manager will correctly detect that the driver has not passed
Windows Logo testing and will give you the option to "Continue Anyway" or "STOP
Installation". Select "Continue Anyway". Click "Finish" when the "Completing
the Hardware Update Wizard" appears.

7. Click on the "Driver" tab and verify that the Broadcom driver version is
7.80.
