TITLE: HP Compaq Business Desktop dc5000 and dx2000 System BIOS (786B0 BIOS)

DESCRIPTION:
This package contains utilities that can be used to restore or update the 
system BIOS on the listed HP Compaq Business Desktop dc5000 and HP Compaq 
Business Desktop dx2000 models with a 786B0 BIOS.

Several methods for changing the BIOS version are included in this package. 
Choose from the following methods:
- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore diskette
- Upgrade the BIOS directly in the Microsoft Windows environment using the 
HPQFlash utility
- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore CD

This package has the ability to be used with SSM, HPCMS, or PXE management 
software for remote updating of the BIOS.

NOTE: To determine the BIOS family and BIOS date, press F10 on the target 
computer during system Power On to run the Setup Utility. Then select 
File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file on a 
diskette or on a USB flash media device by selecting File/Save to Diskette. In 
order for a USB flash media device to be recognized by the computer, the device 
must be attached before the computer is Powered On.

NOTE: For supported HP Compaq Business Desktop dc5000 models, the version 1.40 
BIOS is a web release only and does not replace the version 1.00 BIOS in the 
factory. For supported HP Compaq Business Desktop dx2000 models, the version 
1.40 BIOS is a factory release, and as such replaces the version 1.00 BIOS in 
the factory.

ENHANCEMENTS: 
- Updates microcode to support latest Intel processors.
- Adds "Limit CPUID Maximum Value to 3" option in F10 Setup. This option allows 
users to run Windows NT on some systems with newer processors. The option will 
not be displayed if the processor does not support this feature.

FIXES: 
- Adds Video BIOS Version 3241, which resolves a DVI issue at startup when 
using a DVI add-in card and the internal graphics to support dual monitors.
