DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of HP
               ProLiant DL740 Servers.

                Added support to optimize performance settings for systems 
		utilizing more than 4 Gbytes of memory and more than 4 processors 
		with the latest version of Intel's Xeon MP processor.

        ============================================

                Resolved an issue where Inspect Utility was incorrectly reporting 
		wrong processor type with empty processor slots. 

		Resolved an issue where Caldera DOS was displaying unreadable 
		characters during boot.



HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP27832.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP27832 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP27832.EXE if you wish.
