PREREQUISITES: 
Red Hat 7.2 Box set must be purchased separately and be available when 
installing this SoftPaq.

HOW TO USE: 
1. Download the .tgz file to local hard drive. Unpack the .tgz file with 'tar 
-xvzf. An .iso file will be unpacked.

2. Burn the .iso file to CD-R bootable media. For example, on a Linux 
Workstation use the 'cdrecord' utility: 'cdrecord -v -eject speed=16 dev=2,0,0 
filename.iso' where dev= is the device address for the CD-ROM burner that comes 
from 'cdrecord --scanbus'.

3. Insert the HP Installer CD into the CD-ROM tray. 

4. Reboot to the ''Welcome to HP's Installer Disc'' screen.

5. Select the option for loading Linux that best suits your needs:
- 'gui' for a custom installation that leverages all RPMS needed to enable your 
HP hardware.
WARNING: This option erases your hard drive and rewrites new disc partitions.
- 'install' for an HP identified installation that leverages all RPMS needed to 
enable your HP hardware, as well as specific RPMS identifed to optimize your HP 
Workstation experience.
- 'recover' for a fully automated, HP identified installation that leverages 
the maximum amount of HP engineering. WARNING: This option erases your hard 
drive and rewrites new disc partitions. 

6. When prompted, insert the first Linux operating system CD from the Red Hat 
box set.

7. Continue following prompts until the operating system is sucessfully 
installed.
