TITLE: CPQFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS (686DF ROM) - Windows-based

DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates files that contain the CPQFlash utility and a binary image of the 
System ROM for the Evo models listed below with a 686DF Family ROM. The CPQFlash utility 
is used to locally flash the System ROM on PCs through a Windows environment. The ROM 
Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the 
target computer during system power on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information.

IMPORTANT: Users with a System ROM dated 10/13/01 or earlier MUST first update 
to the 10/17/01 System ROM (Version 2001.10.17) before upgrading to the later 
versions. The Softpaq for System ROM Version 2001.10.17 (SP21460.EXE) is also
included in this Softpaq and will be extracted in the same download directory
specified.

HOW TO USE: 

1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
