ENHANCEMENTS:
Driver Enhancements over previous version:
- Enables support for FireGL T2-128 graphics card.
- Slight perfomance enhancements
- PseudoColor Support
- TV Out Support
- Enhanced Full Screen Anti Aliasing (FSAA)

Packaging Enhancements:
- Not kernel dependent. This package uses new scripting and functionality to
be able to build itself if necessary. The RPM package can be used against most
any kernel flavor within the supported distributions, in this case (RH 7.3 and
RH 8.0).
- Easier to use via provided helper scripts. With the mechanics of this
package, every time you change kernels whether it be UP to SMP, or picking up a
new errata kernel, you can use the provided scripts to do a 1-step
reconfiguration of the driver to work with the new kernel.
- Better documentation on how to use this package, and how to take advantage of
other more advanced installtion options available to you.
- Also provides example configuration files for XFree.

FIXES:
- Improved GLX 1.3 features (pBuffers)
- AGP updates for various AGP chipsets
- Added glx ATI.h to driver package for Developers
- Moved ATI source tar balls to /usr/src/ATI

PREREQUISITES:
ATI drivers are built against XFree versions.

This driver packages only supports XFree 4.2.x, and is intended for use with
RedHat 7.3 and 8.0 only.

HOW TO USE:
1. You must be ROOT user with no X-server running (init 3).

2. Check for existing 'fglrx_...' packages, at prompt type:
   'rpm -qa | grep fgl'

Also, check for packages starting with "fire":
   'rpm -qa | grep fire'

3. Remove any previous package, for example:
   'rpm -e fireglrx-2.4.18.26.7.x_2.9.6-1.i586.rpm

4. Install the new package:
   'rpm -ivh fireglrx-4.2.0_3.2.8-8.i586.rpm'

NOTE:
This will install the package file onto the system, but does not configure the
new driver.

5. Configure the new package by executing script:
   '/usr/hp/graphics/ati/configure'

NOTE:
This will place/build, and configure the ATI accelerated graphics module. **It
will also move aside any current XF86Config file and put a standard ATI one in
place.

FOR MORE INFORMATION:
See the documentation provided in '/usr/hp/graphics/ati' for more information
on this package, advanced istallation options, and more example
XF86Configuration files and options.
