FW 1.09 must be used with 1.04 and later. If a UPS has 1.03 or earlier the UPS must be upgraded to 1.04 before upgrading to 1.09. See Softpaq SP18015 and SP21809. DESCRIPTION: Firmware V1.09 for R3000 XR Models The R3000 XR firmware update is designed to upgrade the firmware of the following R3000 XR models to v1.09. - 192186-001 Low Voltage (North America / Latin America Models) - 192186-002 High Voltage (North America / Latin America Models) - 192186-291 Low Voltage (Japan Models) - 192186-292 High Voltage (Japan Models) - 192186-B31, 192186-B32, 192186-B33, 192186-AR1 High Voltage (International Models) Enhancements/Fixes: The following issues have been resolved with 1.09: Enhancements: •Response Improvement to power outage during scheduled restart period When utility fails, all outlets are open, and no 'pending on' is scheduled, the UPS will be shut down in 30 seconds. When utility fails, all outlets are open, and if any 'pending on' is scheduled, the software will remember the outlet status as closed and keep the logic power supply alive to keep the 'pending on' timer running until either the 'pending on' timer times out or Battery DCUV level is reached. At this time if utility does not come back, the UPS will be shut down. The load relays status has already been remembered as being closed. When utility comes back, the load relays will be closed with added auto on delay (if any). If there are multiple and different 'pending on' timers, and a 'pending on' times out when the utility is failed, the corresponding load relay will not closed – but will be remembered as timed out. If the utility returns while any 'pending on' timer is active and prior to DCUV, the timer(s) continue. If any 'pending on' timer had timed out while the utility is failed, that corresponding load relay is closed. • ERM Update Improvement: After the number of ERM has been updated by using the ERM Configurator, the battery runtime will be updated automatically without the need of recycling the utility power. Fixes: Disabled the 10 day rest mode test any time the R3000XR /J XR transferred to battery. Corrected a problem that would corrupt the configuration settings in Machine_Config. Corrected a problem that was disabling debounce on rail over voltage. Corrected a problem that was returning the wrong output frequency while on bypass. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename Called 290-hp109HV-eeupgrade.pp or 290-hp109LV-eeupgrade.pp. Note the difference between the files, LV and HV. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the UPGRADE file and follow the on-screen instructions. (See Note)** **Note: Use the detailed Word document instructions located in the downloaded SP25776.exe file to perform the R3000XR Firmware Flash Procedure. Copyright 2004, HP Computer Corporation.
