DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of 
               DL580 G2 Servers.


New Features -


        ProLiant DL580 G2 ROM P27 (09/01/2003)
        ============================================
	    For specific memory configurations, enable a special memory
	    performance enhancement feature. This feature improves memory
	    performance without any penalty to any other aspects of system
	    performance. There is not a performance trade-off.

	    This memory feature can be enabled under the following 
	    situations:

	    - System configured for Advanced ECC Mode.
	    - Both memory board slots populated.
	    - Memory Banks populated with one of the following configurations:
	     1) All memory banks configured with identical DIMMs (ie. Banks
	        A and B on both memory boards populated and all installed
	        DIMMs identical).
	     2) Memory Bank A populated on each memory board with
	        identical DIMMs. Bank B unpopulated for both memory
	        boards.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP25359.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP25359 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP25359.EXE if you wish.
