DESCRIPTION:  

Fixes: Smart Array Multipath Software Version 1.0 is not compatible with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or
with Service Pack 4 for Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server. This softpaq provides the update for this, 
as well as providing additional new support for Linux.


ENHANCEMENTS:
HP Smart Array Multipath Software Version 2.0 is an upgrade to HP Smart Array Multipath Software Version 1.0 . 
The upgrade provides new support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition ; 
as well as support for Service Pack 4 for Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server.  
Linux support includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 2.1 and United Linux 1.0 SP2a.

PREREQUISITE:  
For Windows Operating Systems, the User must first uninstall any previous version of the multipath software prior 
to installing Smart Array Multipath Software Version 2.0 . 
To uninstall follow these steps:

	* Click "Start" -> "Settings" -> "Control Panel." 
	* Click "Add/Remove Programs." 
	* Click "Compaq Smart Array 5X Redundancy Filter Driver." 
	* Click "Change/Remove." 
	* Click "OK." 
	* Click "Cancel." 
	* Shut down the server.
	* Disconnect the SCSI cable from the redundant host bus adapter.
	* After the upgrade to Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 4 or Windows Server 2003 is complete, 
	  install Smart Array Multipath Software Version 2.0 
	* Reconnect the SCSI cable to the redundant host bus adapter.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
2. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number SP25140.
3. After extracting the files from the Softpaq, Execute the downloaded software files 
by double-clicking Setup.exe from the appropriate directory.
4. The Multipath Software installer will launch. 
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
