If a previous version is already installed, it should be removed before running this softpaq. Note that once the install is completed, it must still be configured to allow access from HP Systems Insight Manager (CMS - central management server). Instructions on setting up SSH for Windows: 1. Open a Command Prompt window and navigate to the following directory: cd C:\Program Files\OpenSSH\etc This command assumes OpenSSH was installed in the default location. 2. Execute the following command to see which users are registered with OpenSSH: type passwd If the execute-as user for your CMS (root or administrator) is not listed, you need to add them. Otherwise, you can skip to the next step of copying the SSH generated public key. 3. Navigate to the bin directory: cd C:\Program Files\OpenSSH\bin 4. Add the user. For a domain account: mkpasswd -d -u login domain >> C:\Program Files\OpenSSH\etc\passwd where login is the login name of the execute-as user and domain is the user domain. For a local account: mkpasswd -l -u login >> C:\Program Files\OpenSSH\etc\passwd where login is the login name of the execute-as user. 5. On the CMS, copy the SSH generated public key from the CMS to the managed system and place it in the authorized keys file of the execute-as user (root or administrator). 6. Launch the Manage SSH Keys dialog box from the CMS command prompt: mxagentconfig -g 7. Enter the managed system's Hostname. 8. Enter root or administrator for the Username and the associated Password. 9. Click [Connect]. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files and install the product. 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. (C) Copyright 2003 Hewlett-Packard Development Group, L.P.
