DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of ProLiant
               ML350 G3 Servers.


New Features -


        ProLiant ML350 G3 ROM D14 (05/29/2003)
        ============================================

           Added message during POST if a system battery failure is detected.  
	   Previously, the system would simply go back to default settings 
	   in this condition. This should help customers and service more 
	   easily troubleshoot issues with systems losing their configuration 
	   settings due to failed system batteries.

	   Added a ROM Based Setup Utility (RBSU) Advanced Option to modify
	   processor performance settings.  HP has determined that some 
	   applications may benefit by modifying the "CPU Performance Settings."  
	   Based on the type of application run on the server, this setting may 
	   impact system performance.  The system is optimized for memory 
	   by default.
		
	   Updated embedded SCSI Option ROM to version 3.02.3.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP24688.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP24688 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP24688.EXE if you wish.
