DESCRIPTION:
This is a hard drive firmware download utility for applying firmware updates 
contained in other SoftPaqs to specific SCSI hard drives. This utility runs in a
Windows environment.

The utility is useful by itself to determine the identity and firmware version
of each SCSI hard drive in a system.

To upgrade any drive, you need to also download a SoftPaq containing the firmware
file for the particular drive.

Firmware upgrade files compatible with this utility are designated as such in
the detailed descriptions of the firmware upgrade SoftPaqs, which can be found 
on the same support website where this file was found.

HOW TO USE: 

1. Download the firmware download utility SoftPaq to a temporary, empty
directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Run the downloaded SoftPaq EXE file to unpack the utility. You can revise
the installation location of the utility and how-to file during the
extraction. No Program menu or desktop icon is created by default, however you
can do that manually if so desired.

3. Once the unpacking operation is completed, you can delete the original
temporary location for the SoftPaq file, if desired.

4. Read the How_to_use_ScsiTool.rtf file for details on how to upgrade hard
drive firmware with this utility.
