HOW TO USE: 

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded
is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number
listed on at the top of this document.

2.  Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.  Please
note the path where the SoftPaq contents will be extracted, the default is
'C:\SWSETUP\SP24504'.

3.  After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file
downloaded in step 1.

4.  Create the supplemental CD using file 'suppcd.iso' and any CD creation
software that is compatible with the ISO format.

WARNING - Proceeding to the next step may result in reformatting and
repartitioning the system's bootable hard drive.

5.  Reboot system that will be upgraded to have HostRAID support.

6.  If prompted press 'ESC' key to view Option ROM execution.

7.  When prompted press 'CTRL-A' keys to enter Adaptec SCSIselect Utility.

8.  Highlight option 'Enable HostRAID Support' and press 'ENTER' key.

9.  Setup desired HostRAID array(s).  Documentation with detailed instructions
for array setup is included on the supplemental CD.

10. Exit Adaptec SCSIselect Utility.

11. Use the documentation that shipped with the system to begin system
recovery.

12. When prompted for Supplemental CD, insert CD created in step 4.
