DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of HP
               DL360 G3 Servers.

        ProLiant DL360 G3 ROM P31 (04/08/2003)
        ============================================

           Addresses an issue where some DL360 G3 units could run 
	   the system fans at a higher speed than necessary.  On 
	   some units, the fans could go to full speed during POST
	   and the System Management driver would be unable to slow 
	   the fans regardless of the system temperature.
	   Affected systems should set the System Maintenance Switch 
	   S3 (see documentation or hood labels) to off in order to
	   bypass hardware fan control.  Disabling hardware fan control
	   will run the fans at full speed until the System Management 
	   driver is loaded, then the fans will slow to the 
	   appropriate speed.



HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP24167.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP24167 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP24167.EXE if you wish.
