TITLE: HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5400 ActiveSync Backup File Restoration Utility

DESCRIPTION: This utility allows the user to restore an ActiveSync backup file on an 
iPAQ h5400 with an ActiveSync backup that was made from a unit with a different processor 
revision.  

Use this SoftPaq if you are unable to do a restore when you get your unit back from service.

The error message this corrects is: 

  "The restore could not be completed successfully because the selected backup was 
   created from a different type of model."

The current versions of Activesync (3.1, 3.5, and 3.6) detect changes in the processor 
revision and prevent the restore.  This utility modifies your existing ActiveSync backup 
file to be compatible with either a B1 or B2 processor revision.

To change your current ActiveSync backup file, You first need to determine the processor 
revision on your replacement unit.  To do this tap on Start, Settings, System, Asset Viewer, 
System, and look at the Processor Revision. (Example: If the processor revision is a B2, 
then choose "Change to B2 backup" when prompted.)

HOW TO USE:

       1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
          The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
          based on the SoftPaq Number above.

       2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to 
          unpack the h54Patcher.exe file to a directory.

       3. Execute h54Patcher.exe and follow the on screen instruction.
