TITLE: Remote ROM Flash Utilities for Evo D310/D320 and W4000 SFF DDR (686O2 ROM) VERSION: 3.16 Rev A DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq creates a set of utility files that can be used with a remote configuration tool such as Altiris eXpress to update or restore the System ROM in the Evo Models with a 686O2 Family ROM. It also includes the ROM Image. The standard ROMPaq will not work for updating a PC remotely over a network. The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file by selecting File/Save to Diskette. By default, Hyper-Threading is disabled in F10 Setup. Systems with Hyper-Threading disabled, or processors slower the 3.06-GHz, will not see this issue. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. Refer to the files README.TXT and REPSET.TXT for further information about the utility programs. Copyright (c) 2003 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
