HOW TO USE: 

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded
is a self-extracting executable with a filename based
on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Right click on My Computer, select Manage. The Microsoft Management Console
(MMC) window appears.

3. In the left pane, select Device Manager. A list of devices appears in the
right pane.

4. In the right pane, open the Network adapters category. A list of network
adapters appears.

5. Locate the Intel adapter. Right-click then select Update Driver from the
drop-down menu. This starts the Hardware Update Wizard.

6. Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Click Next.

7. Select Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install. Click Next.

8. A list of drivers may appear. Click the Have Disk button. The Install From
Disk window appears.

9. Specify the directory of this software package. Select the Intel PRO/1000
Desktop Adapter. Click OK.

10. Click the Finish button.
