TITLE: Workstations Windows XP Fix for Unmountable Boot Volume Error

DESCRIPTION:
This contains a fix for a problem with volumes that use the NTFS file system
on integrated device electronics (IDE) drives with caching enabled. Use this
SoftPaq if you receive the following blue screen error message during startup:

"Unmountable Boot Volume"

This SoftPaq applies only to Windows XP Professional initial release.  The fix is included
in Service Pack 1 and later.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.  The file downloaded is a 
self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files unpacked in step 2.

4. You must reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.
