DESCRIPTION:

This Softpaq creates the OS/2 Support Software Diskettes
for Compaq (SSD).

SSD contains OS/2 drivers for Storage, Health, System Management
and Remote Management. This software enhances the performance of 
Compaq options such as Compaq Drive Array controllers, Compaq 
SCSI controllers, and Compaq CD-ROM drives.
This software requires 2 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.
 
Enhancements/Fixes in Version 4.59 Rev. A

The following Compaq Driver was updated:

 - Compaq CISS Driver CPQCISS.ADD v1.3
	Added support for the following controllers
		HP Smart Array 641 Controller
		HP Smart Array 642 Controller

 - Compaq SCSI Driver CPQ53CX.ADD v2.83
	Provided fix for an Internal Processing error.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and 
   change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self 
   extracting executable with a file name SP21982.EXE.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq
   file:
      SP21982 [ENTER]

   The following files should be created:

   QRST5.EXE
   217380US._01
   217380US._02
   SP21982.TXT
   
3. Obtain 2 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

4. To create the diskettes, run QRST5 and follow the
   on-screen instructions.

5. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the
   downloaded file SP21982.EXE and the other files created
   on your hard drive if you wish.

6. Type VIEWME at the command prompt on the First Diskette
   for additional information.
