DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of 
               DL580 G2 Servers.

        ProLiant DL580 G2 ROM P27 (02/04/2003)

	    This ROM adds support for Hot-Add Memory functionality
	    which allows the amount of memory to be upgraded without
	    rebooting or powering down the server.

        ============================================

	     Release for Windows Server 2003 (Windows .NET).

	     Fix issue which could cause PCI cards which request
	     memory resources greater than 128 Mbytes (extremely
	     rare) to not be properly allocated their resources.
	     This was added to specifically fix an Avaya PCI
	     Card.

                


HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP21945.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP21945 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP21945.EXE if you wish.
