These diskettes contain all of the agents for OS/2. For details on enhancements to the agents and installation, refer to the README.TXT on the generated diskette. Supported Products: The Compaq Management Agents for OS/2 have been tested on the following Compaq Products: Compaq ProLiant family of servers Enhancements and Fixes: Support for the following Compaq Server ProLiant ML530 G2 UPDATES: None HOW TO USE: 1. Download the Softpaq to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above i.e SP19702.EXE. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded Softpaq file. The following files should be created: QRST5.EXE CMA398._01 CMA398._02 CMA398._03 SP19702.TXT 3. Obtain three formatted 1.44 MB diskettes. 4. Run the QRST5.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions. 5. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded file (SP19702.EXE) and the other files created on your hard drive in step 1. 6. To install the Compaq Management Agents for OS/2, Insert the first diskette. Run a:\install and follow the on-screen instruction. 7. TCP/IP Installation Screen will be executed during the process of Agents installation if TCP/IP modules are not installed in the system. 8. Select SNMP Networking Kit. Change the default path to :\TCPIP. Click on 'Install'. Installation will continue. 9. Configure the SNMP Settings in TCP/IP Configuration Screen. SYSCONTACT - specifies a contact person for the server. SYSLOCATION - specifies the physical location of the server. Note: The Management Agents set both of these variables to the default value of "." during installation. Configure SNMP Manager Access Authorization and Trap destination in Page 2 of this screen. 10. To exit, select close from the system-icon pull down menu. At the prompt select to save or discard the changes. 11. Agents installation will continue. Remove the diskette when installation is complete. 12. Reboot the server. Note: Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for installation instructions and additional information.
