The BIOS/ROM image file must be used with CPQFlash update utility in order to actually flash (upgrade) the ROM image on one of the affected Evo notebooks. FIXES: - Fixes black display after resume from Standby mode. - Fixes issue where IDE devices in docking station were no longer detected after hot dock and Standby/Resume. - Fixes issue where computer does not boot on first power-up cycle after System BIOS is upgraded. - Fixes UUID (universal unique identifier) to properly handle lower case letters. - Fixes problem booting to a CD-ROM drive. PREREQUISITES: N/A HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 3. After the system has been shutdown, you may delete all temporary files and the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 1. IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
