This SoftPaq is used to flash the System ROM on target PCs on a network, and it requires System Software Manager (SSM) or Remote Management Setup. The ROM Family, ROM date, and processor information can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file by selecting File/Save to Diskette. ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES: - Adds support for 0.13um PIII 1.13- and 1.2-GHz processors (microcode patch and thermal support). - Adds legacy support for USB mouse. - Updates Video Bios (version 2387). - Adds code to prevent ROMPAQ from downgrading the ROM below 2.11 on new System boards designed to support the 0.13um PIII processors. - Makes cosmetic changes and language translations to F-10 Setup. - Improves upper memory resource allocation to free up as much memory as possible. - Enhances the ACPI subsystem to be more robust. - Enables PME on all PME capable NICs at shutdown so that WOL Token Ring NICs can wake the system. - Modifies ROM flash algorithm to be more robust. - Corrects CAS Latency 2 memory support. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2.
