ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES: Fixed the memory leak in HBAOO, which would not allow more then 7 passes of the diagnostic to run on some platforms when a 5x controller card installed. Fixing the HBAOO memory leak also fixed "Unable to open CPU_MSG message file for CPU". Fixing the HBAOO memory leak also fixed "Message file out of date" errors. Fixed menu corruptions in the caused HBAOO Removed static modifier from menu data structures so that the menus are recreated on the stack each time the relevant function is called. Fixed HBAOO to not report a command timeout error if testing is canceled during testing. Fixed hang caused running Inspect after running Test (quick check, automatic mode or Device list) when a 5x controller was installed (i.e. if HBAOO was loaded before running inspect). Fixed HBAOO problems consistently testing the Smart Array 5302 controller and the HDs connected to it depending on whether Quick Check, Automatic mode or device list were run first. Fixed CPU.tm test causes system to lockup with 3 CPU's in ProLiant DL580. Fixed CPU.tm so that the programmable timer test works correctly, it was being skipped for several products (including the ProLiant DL380-G2). Fixed disk.tm so that the hard drive "R/W Compare Test" does not cause a false Fatal read error with IDE HDDs on ProLiant DL320. Fixed SCSI.tm so that SCSI Drives are shown properly in Device List and Inspect. Fixed Inspect so that the IDE hard drive capacity is reported correctly on ProLiant DL320 IDE secondary master. Fixed Inspect hang during retrieving system ports information on ML370-G2 and DL380-G2 servers. This was ROM version dependent but now works in all versions. Fixed Inspect hangs in silent mode with a ProLiant ML330 or ProLiant ML330-G2 with an ATA controller with no drives, and 64-Bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter card with drives attached. Fixed Inspect so that the search for array controllers does not assume they are all in consecutive PCI slots this fixes issues not displaying all drives when slots are skipped using 3200 and 4300 controllers. Fixed Inspect and Test so that older machines ROM revisions and Families are still displayed. A check was added for DMI BIOS Struct and if it is not supported, then find ROM Rev and Family the old way. Fixed Inspect so that Product Name does not appear twice in the trademark string. Fixed Inspect so that trademark string does not have extra whitespace. Fixed Inspect fixed the slave drive infomation (serial numbers, capacity etc.) for the primary and secondary IDE Controllers. NOTES: None HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Pressing "Space Bar" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory folder in the download directory. The diskette image file, the image extraction tool, and the batch file to create the diskette are unpacked into this newly created directory. 3. After the Diagnostic diskette has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step one, as well as the directory folder and files created in step two. 4. Go to the system that you want to run Server Diagnostics on and power down the system. 5. Place the newly created Diagnostics diskette in Drive A:, and power up the system. 6. The system should then boot to Compaq Server Diagnostics. Copyright 2001, Compaq Computer Corporation. All rights reserved.
