ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES Added support for the ProLiant DL360 G2. Added support for the ProLiant BL10e. Added support for the DL380-G2 with 1.400 GHz processors. Added support for the DL370-G2 with 1.400 GHz processors. Added support for the Tasksmart C4000 Model 70. Added support for the Smart Array Cluster Storage in TEST and DEVICE LIST. Added ID support for the Compaq NC3134 Fast Ethernet NIC in INSPECT. Added ID support for the Compaq NC7132 1000T UPGMOD ALL in INSPECT. Added ID support for the Compaq NC7131 Gigabit Server Adapter PCI 64/66 10/100/1000-T in INSPECT. Added ID support for the Compaq NC3135 Fast Ethernet Module Dual 10/100 in INSPECT. Added ID support for the Embedded Compaq Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition. The seek test was removed on ML-330 G2 Servers with ATA RAID because one of the int13 calls is not supported by ROM. Fixed a problem where the test log for 5x array controllers would show 2-3 tests run for every loop of the diagnostics. This was caused by the counting of commands load and unload of the test instead of just counting the run test command. Fixed a problem where inspect would give the message "There is not enough memory in your system to run Inspect." after running the diagnostics. Fixed a problem where inspect would not longer display the rom date of many units. Fixed a problem in Input.tm that would errounously fail USB keyboards. This fix was done by removing the default keyboard so now if the diagnostics can not see a keyboard the testing is skipped not assumed that there is a bad keyboard. NOTES: It has come to our attention that logical drives may have to be configured when using a smart array controller option to view your drives in the device list and for the diagnostics to be able to these devices. In previous versions this was not the case. This flexibility was not documented as a necessary "feature" and so it was not maintained. We have gotten several requests from test groups to add it back in. In our next release this "feature" of working on logical drives might be back after it is determined if this feature is safe or was a bug with a positive side effect. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Pressing "Space Bar" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory folder in the download directory. The diskette image file, the image extraction tool, and the batch file to create the diskette are unpacked into this newly created directory. 3. After the Diagnostic diskette has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step one, as well as the directory folder and files created in step two. 4. Go to the system that you want to run Server Diagnostics on and power down the system. 5. Place the newly created Diagnostics diskette in Drive A:, and power up the system. 6. The system should then boot to Compaq Server Diagnostics. Copyright 2001, Compaq Computer Corporation. All rights reserved.
