HOW TO USE: 1. Format a 1.44-MB diskette. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file. You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the ROMPaq diskette. 4. After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file if you wish. 5. Place the ROMPaq diskette into drive A: of the computer you wish to update and turn on the power or reboot the computer, allowing it to boot from the diskette. 6. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue. 7. Select the ROM version to be installed. 8. The ROMPaq diskette will automatically update the System ROM and notify you when the update is finished. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER'S POWER DURING THIS PROCESS 9. When the ROM update is finished, you will need to power off the computer and back on for the changes to be in effect. Remove the ROMPaq diskette from the computer. Hold down the unit's power button for approximately 5 seconds until it shuts off, wait 5 more seconds, and then press the unit's power button briefly to power the unit back on.
