ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES: 1. Fixed an issue with respect to TBI Mode for Compaq Gigabit driver on Cisco switches. IMPORTANT: During installation, any incompatible or older version package found on the system will have to be removed before installing this package. HOW TO USE: Steps 1-5 are performed under DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows95 or Windows NT. Steps 6-11 are performed under SCO OpenServer 5. 1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a clean directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Five files will be created: SP16361.TXT, SP16361._01, SP16361._02, SP16361._03 and QRST5.EXE. 4. Execute QRST5.EXE and you will be prompted to insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create 3 diskettes containing Compaq Extended Feature Supplement, Ver 5.40b with enhanced Compaq Gigabit Driver - SCO OpenServer 5. 5. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2 and the files unpacked in step 3. 6. To install the Compaq Extended Feature Supplement - SCO OpenServer 5, log in as "root." 7. Execute the following command to install the Compaq Extended Feature Supplement: # custom 8. From the Software menu, select "Install new" option. 9. From the host machine select the media device as "Floppy Disk Drive 0" 10.
