Copy USER.EXE to \windows\system Copy USER32.DLL to \windows\system - Add Windows 98 Shut down to correct "Windows stops responding during shutdown with mapped drives." Update MAY 2000 (Q260067) for Win98 Second Edition. Copy USER.EXE to \windows\system and \windows\options\cabs folders. Copy USER32.DLL to \windows\system and \windows\options\cabs folders. - Set the "Max Cached Icons" registry key value to 500. Copy UHCD.SYS to \windows\system and \windows\options\cabs folders. - Add Multibay QFE (Q245234 - HSFLOP.PDR 4.10.2223) to fix blue screen after multibay driver uninstall with Intel IDE controller. Copy HSFLOP.PDR to \windows\system\iosubsys and \windows\options\cabs folders. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory folder in the download directory. All files are unpacked into this newly created directory. To create the two optional installation diskettes, run MAKEDISK.BAT and follow on-screen instructions. 3. After the directory has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. To install, run SETUP.EXE.
