Compaq Server Support Setup for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (SETUP.EXE, SETUPAPP.EXE) - Modified the Compaq Server Support Setup for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 program to correctly install the Compaq ATI RAGE IIC Video Display Controller Driver via the following installation methods: * Compaq SmartStart for Servers Release 4.80 Assisted Install * Command-line Express * Express Setup (Graphical User Interface) The previous Compaq SSD for Windows NT 4.0 version fails to install this driver, causing the system to boot in standard VGA mode. For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files. The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed. You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for the files, or default to the download directory. The following files will be created: README.TXT STOR.EXE 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the self-extracting executable: STOR.EXE [ENTER] 5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program SETUP.EXE to install the software.
