SOFTPAQ UTILITY VERSION: 4.X

DESCRIPTION:             Creates a bootable utility diskette that 
                         autodetects specific Western Digital hard drives 
			 currently installed, identifying the model and 
			 serial number. When it detects certain drives the 
			 utility prompts the user to take the appropriate 
			 action.

                         Upon completion of the test, the user will be 
			 informed that the computer must be power cycled.

                         This utility is non-destructive.
                         User data is not affected.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard
   drive.  The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a
   filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. A
   bootable diskette will be created.

3. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the self-extracting
   file downloaded in step 1.

4. Put the diskette created by this Softpaq in drive A and reboot the
   computer.

5. Follow the prompts.
