The standard ROMPaq will not work for updating a PC remotely over a network. A unique feature of the ROM is one that allows the user to select the language used in F10 Setup. The user may choose between Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, or Swedish. Please note however, that the user sees the chosen language only in F10 Setup, not in the operating system. Note - This ROM is compatible for use with Windows 2000. Enhancements/Fixes: - Adds support for Intel Pentium III processor stepping change B0. - Adds support to allow both Matrox G400 and G200MMS video to co-exist in the system. - Increases system performance by changing memory power management settings. - Corrects a condition that was not allowing the system to write information back to NEC DIMM memory modules. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Entering "Y" confirms the unpacking of several files. 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. Refer to the files README.TXT and REPSET.TXT for instructions about the use of the utility programs. Copyright 2000, Compaq Computer Corporation. All rights reserved.
