The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running F10 Setup. A unique feature of the ROM is one that allows the user to select the language used in F10 Setup. The user may choose between Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, or Swedish. Please note however that the user sees the chosen language only in F10 Setup not in the operating system. This ROM is compatible for use with Microsoft Windows 2000 Beta. Enhancements/Fixes: - Features new patches for the Pentium II and Pentium III processors. - Features a new F10-Setup option "WOL Boot Source" under "Advanced -> Power-On Self Test". This allows users to automatically boot to a remote server when the system recieves a "magic packet" wakeup signal. - Features a three second improvement in POST time. - Adds the ability for new PCI devices with large option ROM's to co-exist without conflict. - Corrects a condition with the Adaptec AHA-3960D SCSI controller card that was causing the system to hang at startup. - Corrects a condition with the Microsoft Natural Elite keyboard that was causing the F11 and F12 keys to not work. - Corrects a condition in F10 Setup that would not allow choosing the primary VGA display card if two VGA cards were installed in the system. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. This creates the cab folder containing the ROM image and language files. 3. After the file has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. Refer to the Remote Management Setup or System Software Manager (SSM) documentation for instructions on creating a Remote ROM Flash job to flash the ROM on target PCs across the network.
