DESCRIPTION:  This installs the development tools listed below on the 
Presario 210 to allow software developers to develop applications specifically 
for Palm-size PCs. 

VB (Visual Basic) support lets software developers write custom
applications for the Presario 210 using Visual Basic.

MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) is useful to C++ developers
so they can develop custom programs specifically for the 
Presario 210.

ADO (Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects) provides an interface
that allows developers easy-to-use access to a variety of
data sources.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

3. After the directory has been created, you may delete the 
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Connect your Presario 210 to your desktop using the serial link.
Ensure an active connection has been established.  It is advised that
the unit also be connected to AC power to ensure no interruptions
from low battery power occur during the installation.

5. Select and execute the SETUP.EXE file unpacked from the Softpaq onto  
the hard drive.

6. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the software upgrade
onto your Presario 210.  An opportunity will be given to the user during
the install to select each runtime component individually or all
components at the same time.

7. After the installation to the Presario 210 is complete, you must reset
the computer for the program to be active.  To do this simply disconnect
the unit from it's connection to the desktop and while the unit is still on,
use your stylus to press the reset button locate on the backside of the
Presario 210 to the left of the agency label.

8. After the installation is completed, you may delete the directory 
created in step 2 if you wish.

HOW TO USE:

1. Softpaqをハードディスクのディレクトリにダウンロードします。このダウン
   ロードしたファイルはSoftpaq番号を元にしたファイル名をもつ自己解凍型実行
   ファイルです。


2. ダウンロードしたファイルを実行して、画面の指示にしたがいます。ダウン
   ロードしたディレクトリに新しいディレクトリを作成してファイルを解凍する
   確認が表示されたら"Y"を入力します。すべてのファイルはこの新しいディレク
   トリに解凍されます。

3. 新しいディレクトリが作成されたら手順1.でダウンロードした自己解凍型ファ
   イルは削除することができます。

4. シリアルケーブルを使用してPresario 210とデスクトップPCを接続します。有効
   な接続が確立されていることを確認します。インストール中にローバッテリーに
   よりインストールが中断することがないようにPresario 210をAC電源に接続して
   おくことをお勧めします。

5. Softpaqからハードディスクに解凍されたSETUP.EXEファイルを選択して実行します。

6. アップグレードプログラムをPresareio 210にインストールするため画面の指示に
   したがいます。インストール中にランタイムコンポーネントをそれぞれインストール
   するかすべてを同時にインストールするか選択することができます。

7. Presario 210へのインストールが終了したら、プログラムを有効にするため
   Presario 210をリセットする必要があります。リセットを行うにはデスクトップPC
   との接続を解除しPresario 210の電源がオンの状態で背面ラベルの左側にあるリ
   セットボタンをスタイラスを使用して押します。

8. インストールが終わったら、手順2.で作成されたディレクトリは削除することがで
   きます。
