DESCRIPTION Creates Three (3) diskettes containing the Compaq 
Redhat 6.1 diskettes.  The floppies address two known issues in 
the Red Hat 6.1 stock distribution kernel.  The first issue does 
not allow detection of PCI devices on the secondary/tertiary PCI bus.  
The second issue may cause a lockup when a NC3131 dual port network 
adapter is installed.  
          
It is recommended that the floppies be used on all ProLiant servers 
when installing Red Hat 6.1 stock distribution.

TO CREATE Three (3) Compaq Redhat 6.1 DISKETTES: 

1.  After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory and
    change to that directory.
 
2.  From that drive and directory, untar the softpaq file:
         tar xvf SP10776.tar

           The following files should be created:
           cpq-rh-install.img
           cpq-kfloppy-smp.img
           cpq-kfloppy-up.img
           Readme.txt

3.  Obtain three (3) 1.44 MB diskettes

4.  Insert a diskette into the disk drive.  Use dd to put these
    images onto three seperate diskettes.
       
       dd if=cpq-rh-install.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k 
       dd if=cpq-kfloppy-smp.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k 
       dd if=cpq-kfloppy-up.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k 
        
5.  At this point, the diskettes have been created and are ready to use. 

6.  Refer to README for instructions on using the three (3) diskettes.
