It is installed on the Diagnostics Partition for those systems which support it and have hard drives. It is shipped as a diskette on all other products. A Compaq Server Diagnostics diskette contains programs that can perform the following tasks on Compaq Systems Division server products: - TEST - INSPECT (display machine config) Enhancements/fixes: - Final support for ProLiant 8000. - Fixed support for memory testing above 4GB range. - Support for 600 MHz processor upgrades to ProLiant 400, Prosignia 720. - Support for 550 MHz processor upgrade to ProLiant 5500. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory folder in the download directory. All files are unpacked into this newly created directory. 3. To create the Diagnostics diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT and follow on-screen instructions. 4. After the Diagnostic diskette has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1, as well as the directory folder and files created in step 2. 5. Power down the system. 6.
