From the Red Hat 8.0 CD #2 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0 CD #2, locate compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.xxx.i386.rpm then install it with this command: # rpm -i compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.xxx.i386.rpm 3) Log in as the "root" user and use the following command to install Storage Agents: # rpm -Uvh cmastor-7.0.0-16.linux.i386.rpm 4) To start Storage Agents immediately after installation, enter the following command: # /etc/init.d/cmastor start 5) After installation, if "snmpd" is not running, it can be started with the following command # /etc/init.d/snmpd start 6) After the RPM is installed, you may delete the previously downloaded RPM file. NOTES: Storage agents package (cmastor-7.0.0-16) has to be installed BEFORE "HP Server Management Drivers and Agents" (hpasm-7.0.0-x) is started. Otherwise, storage devices may not show up in Management Agents web browser after hpasm and cmastor are started. If such problem occurs, please restart hpasm and storage agents with the following commands, or reboot the system. # /etc/init.d/hpasm restart The AutoRefresh feature does not function properly for NetScape browsers running under Linux when viewing the Web Agent. The AutoRefresh feature works correctly for all browsers running under Microsoft Windows.
